Top aides to Sen. Orrin Hatch, R-Utah, have switched jobs among themselves.

Robert Dibblee was named Hatch's new administrative assistant, or top aide. He replaces Wendy Higginbotham, who will become Hatch's chief policy adviser. Kris Iverson will become legislative director. She replaces Even Liddiard, who becomes senior tax policy adviser.Dibblee, who has been Hatch's director for public lands, natural resources and environment, is a former state director for former Sen. Jake Garn, R-Utah.

Higginbotham - who had been one of the first women administrative assistants to any Utah member of Congress - has new responsibility over policy formulation and development of issue papers and speeches.

Iverson has been on Hatch's staff since he came to Washington in 1977, serving in many spots including minority staff director of the Labor and Human Resources Committee.
