Clara Marr Riley Campbell, 88, died Thursday, December 8, 1994 of causes incident to age.
She was born November 17, 1906 in Bountiful, Utah, the third child of William Locton and Harriet Amelia Ellis Riley. Married Donald J. Campbell of Tooele, August 13, 1932 in Modesto, California. Marriage later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. Marr was a graduate of the University of Utah and taught school in Davis District for 37 years. She loved the children in her third and fourth grade classes and did everything in her power to help them become well-educated, responsible citizens. In addition to a lifetime of activity in the LDS Church, Marr was a member of Delta Kappa Gamma (honorary teacher sorority), American Association of University Women (AAUW), Utah Education Association (UEA), Bountiful Fine Arts Guild, Daughters of the Utah Pioneers, and a charter member of Oakridge Country Club.Survivors include three sons, Stephen K. Campbell (Judy); William E. Campbell (Terry); D. John Campbell (Robin); 11 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren; one brother, Ray E. Riley (Bea); one sister, Helen (Mrs. O'Ryan) Gull. She was preceded in death by her husband, four brothers and one great-granddaughter.
Graveside services Monday, Dec. 12, 1994, 12 noon at the Bountiful City Cemetery. Friends may call at Russon Brothers Bountiful Mortuary, 295 North Main, Sunday evening from 7-9 p.m. and Monday morning 11-11:30 a.m.
