The men's World Cup super-G race was postponed Saturday because of fog and high winds and rescheduled for today.
Race organizers said swirling winds blew up loose snow, creating a hazard for skiers already imperiled by fog. More than 8 inches of snow fell Friday in this Alpine resort. After two attempts to start the race, organizers decided to scrub it. Its rescheduling caused organizers to postpone a giant slalom set for Sunday. No new date has been announced for that event.
A slalom is set for Monday night in nearby Sestriere, Italy.
The super-G scheduled for Saturday was originally set for Val d'Isere last weekend.
