Acel Joseph Lund, age 80, died November 28, 1994 in Mesa, Arizona of cancer.
Born October 9, 1914 in Fountain Green, Utah, he was the youngest child of Neils Martin Lund and Miriam Elenor Draper Lund. Married Eddis Dean Christensen, March 15, 1932. The marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. She died April 27, 1984. He married Myrleen Taylor on January 5, 1985 in Salt Lake City. Acel worked for the Union Pacific Railroad for 37 years as a brakeman and conductor. He had many friends during his working years with Union Pacific. He retired to travel and resided in Yuma, Arizona where he build a desert home. He loved hunting, fishing, guns and reading. He was a self-taught man who loved conversation and he had a keen sense of humor.He was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He did temple work in the Mesa Temple as genealogy work for several years.
He is survived by his wife, four daughters, 10 grandchildren, four great-grandchildren; one brother and one sister.
Prayer services were held in Mesa Arizona and cremation followed.
