Noah Besendorfer, 94, died December 10, 1994 in Springville at the home of his daughter, Erma Jean Phillips.

Born March 11, 1900 in Midway, Utah to John Leonhardt and Magdalene Bauer Besendorfer, early converts to the LDS Church from Germany. He was the second son in a family of eight.He grew up and went to school in Midway. Married Nancy Ann Casper November 14, 1923 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. She died March 1, 1982.

He lived his entire married life in Charleston. He loved the farm and outdoor life. Had an excellent memory and his children and grandchildren enjoyed listening to his many hunting, fishing and trapping experiences. We will miss him greatly. Loved his church and was a high priest in the Charleston Ward at the time of his death. Was a beautiful singer and yodeler and sang in choirs, quartets and the Midway Swiss Choir.

Survived by two sons and four daughters: James Moroni and Karma Besendorfer, John Noah and Jane Besendorfer, Charleston; Joann Burnson, Las Vega, Nev.; Waldie and DaNeil Clegg, Orem; Erma Jean and Ronald Phillips, Springville; LaVern and Burton Cardell, Phoenix, Ariz.; two sisters, Ella Grass and Lena Besendorfer, Salt Lake City; 21 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services Tuesday at 1 p.m. in the Charleston Ward. Friends may call at Olpin Mortuary, 288 North Main, Heber City, on Monday from 7-9 p.m. and at the church Tuesday one hour prior to services. Burial will be in the Charleston Cemetery.
