Davis, Weber and Box Elder counties topped the list for amounts of snow that fell Monday night and Tuesday morning in the valleys.

And snow kept piling up at Alta and most other ski resorts. Alta reported 16 inches of new snow overnight, bringing a total of 75 inches on the ground. Eight to 14 inches of snow fell Monday night and Tuesday morning at other Wasatch Mountain ski resorts.Snow totals were: Clearfield, Deweyville in Box Elder County, the Avenues, 5 inches; Brigham City, 7; the Ogden bench, 6; Layton, 7; Farmington and Parleys Summit, 5; Holladay and Pleasant Grove, 3; and Sandy, Kearns and Taylorsville, 1 inch.
