The work of Utah filmmaker Trent Harris, whose goofball comedy "Rubin and Ed" is a local cult favorite, will be presented by the Utah Film & Video Center on Friday, Dec. 16, at 8 p.m.

Among the works to be shown are Harris' first film, "The Orkley Kid" - a short starring Crispin Glover - and clips from his upcoming feature "Plan Ten from Outer Space," which will have its world premiere at the Sundance Film Festival next month.Harris will discuss his work and take questions from the audience, and he promises surprises, door prizes and, of course, plenty of his mother's famous salsa.

The program will be presented in the Salt Lake Art Center auditorium, 20 S. West Temple. Admission is $5. For further information, phone 534-1158.
