Former Black Panther Eldridge Cleaver hugs a friend who referred to herself as Dene' at the funeral Thursday of former anti-war radical Jerry Rubin. About 250 people - friends from both his anti-war and moneymaking years - gathered to mourn Rubin in Los Angeles. Rubin, 56, died Monday from injuries suffered when a car hit him near his Brentwood home. "He was always the spark of nonconformity," said state Sen. Tom Hayden, who with Rubin was among the Chicago Seven activists.
