A bus company boss gave his 65 drivers Britain's meanest Christmas bonus - a tin of cookies to share between them, the Sun newspaper said Friday in a tale of seasonal stinginess.

The $5 tin held 82 cookies, entitling the drivers in Yeovil, western England, to one and a quarter each."Merry Christmas, it's first come, first served," a boss told the drivers as he plonked the tin on a table at the depot.
