The Department of the Interior has authorized the expenditure of up to $69 million for the completion of the Diamond Fork pipeline of the Central Utah Project.

Scheduled for construction beginning in October 1995, the pipeline is part of the larger Diamond Fork System that is designed to release flows from Strawberry Reservoir to the Spanish Fork River.Interior officials said the 8-mile pipeline will be a major portion of the system, carrying up to 510 cubic feet of water per second.

In addition to delivering municipal, industrial and irrigation water to populated areas, the delivery system will also enhance the Diamond Fork fishery by providing minimum and maximum stream flows.
