2 ATTORNEYS NAMED JUDGES IN 3RD AND 6TH DISTRICTS

SHARE 2 ATTORNEYS NAMED JUDGES IN 3RD AND 6TH DISTRICTS

Two attorneys in private practice have been appointed to the 3rd and 6th District Court benches by Gov. Mike Leavitt.

Stephen L. Henriod, a partner with the Henriod, Henriod & Nielen law firm, has been appointed to the 3rd District Court bench.Kay L. McIff, a partner with Olsen, McIff & Chamberlain in Richfield, has been appointed to the 6th District Court bench.

Henriod received his bachelor's and law degrees from the University of Utah. His practice has focused on business, construction, real estate and family law.

McIff is a member of the state Board of Regents and the Sevier Valley Hospital governing board. He received his bachelor's degree from Utah State University and his law degree from the U.

McIff served as the Sevier County attorney from 1970 to 1978; the acting Piute County attorney from 1974 to 1986, and the Piute County attorney from 1987 to the present.

The Utah Senate must confirm both appointments.
