SHARE PLAYHOUSE PRESENTS CHRISTMAS PANORAMA

Former Broadway star Robert Peterson, who is a veteran actor in LDS productions, is again seen in the Promised Valley Playhouse production, "The Gift of Christmas," according to general manager Murray Rawson. The show opened Nov. 26 and will run through Dec. 23.

"The Gift of Christmas" was conceived and is being directed by Randy Boothe, a writer/composer on the BYU faculty. Music is by Randy Boothe and Michael McLean.In the play, Brother Peterson portrays the famous innkeeper who turned Mary and Joseph away. He meets a modern-day family who explains to him the significance of the birth of the Christ child.

The show takes audiences through various dazzling scenes, including Santa's workshop, a London street in Charles Dickens' A Christmas Carol and the sparking wonderland of "The Nutcracker" ballet.

Performances are Tuesdays through Saturdays. Evening performances are at 7:30 p.m. Matinee performances are at 2 p.m. on Dec. 3, 10, 17, 20-23.

Tickets are $14 for dress circle, $12 for center section on the main floor, $10 for side sections on the main floor and $7 for the balcony and first two rows in the center section on the main floor.

A discount of $1 per ticket is available when purchasing matinee tickets, 20 or more tickets simultaneously, for senior citizens and for students showing a current activity card. The box office is open Monday through Saturday from 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
