Four Wildcat players scored in double figures as Weber State walloped Wagner College 83-57 in Saturday's consolation game of the Gaucho Classic at the University of California-Santa Barbara.

Ruben Nembhard scored a team-high 18 points, while Justyn Tebbs and Justin Nielsen came off the bench to score 16 and 14 points, respectively."They came off the bench just ablaze," said Wildcat head coach Ron Abegglen of Tebbs and Nielsen.

Kirk Smith added 12 points and 13 rebounds for Weber.

"I think the whole team's total intensity was a big factor," Abegglen added, also highlighting Kirk Smith's 12-point, 13-rebound outing.

Leading just 9-7 with 12 minutes remaining in the first half, the `Cats reeled off an 11-2 four-minute spurt to go up 20-9, with Tebbs scoring seven in the run and Lewis Lofton picking up the other four WSU points. Weber outscored Wagner 21-12 the rest of the half for a 41-21 halftime margin.

The Wilcats led led by 20-plus points for most of the second half.

With the win, Weber State ups its record to 2-1. WSU plays Cal-Davis at home Monday night.
