SHARE NEW DAVIS SHERIFF NAMES DEPUTY, ADMINISTRATION

Sgt. Rob Davis, who will be sworn in as Davis County Sheriff Jan. 3, has named his new chief deputy and administrative team.

Lt. Kelly Sparks, currently in the department's patrol division and head of the SWAT team, has been named chief deputy. Dispatcher Tiffany Hess was named as Davis' executive secretary and Randy Minson, who last worked in the campaign of Sen. Orrin Hatch, will be the new sheriff's administrative assistant.Davis succeeds outgoing sheriff Glenn Clary, whom he defeated in the June GOP primary and again in the November general election when Clary mounted a write-in campaign.

"Because of my commitment in providing a strong and efficient sheriff's department, I have taken some time and carefully selected my personal staff," said Davis in making the announcement.

"These individuals have demonstrated personal integrity and an earnest desire to serve the citizens of Davis County."
