SHARE FIREFIGHTERS LIMIT BLAZE AT LINDON SHOP

Pleasant Grove fire officials were able to contain an early morning fire to the roof and attic of an auto-body repair and painting shop in Lindon Monday.

At 1:45 a.m., Pleasant Grove Police dispatchers received a call that smoke was coming from Tomlinson Custom Body & Paint, 445 N. State. The shop's fire alarm also sounded, dispatchers said.Pleasant Grove fire and police officials arrived on the scene minutes later to find that a blaze had started in either the business's electrical sign or in some lighting, Fire Chief Dennis Carter said.

"It looked pretty bad at first, but we got everything contained to the roof and the attic," Carter said. An investigation into the fire's cause is continuing, but Carter said he believes it was started by an electrical short. Damage is estimated in the thousands of dollars.
