Challenging Alta and Cottonwood high school students to wear their seat belts, Utah peace officers kicked off a competition Monday that could land winning students a visit with a local sports personality.

The seat belt competition continues through Dec. 23. Selected students from the school with the highest percentage of seat belt use will earn a pizza party and a visit with a local sports figure.Sponsored by the Department of Public Safety and Utah Highway Patrol, the competition is also made possible through support of various corporate sponsors.
