Bad news for the tabloids: Burt Reynolds says his spat with Loni Anderson is over.

After two contentious days in court, Reynolds agreed Tuesday to pay his ex-wife an undisclosed amount of monthly child support for their adopted 6-year-old son Quinton."This saga is over. Let's put it to bed. I'm very happy we were able to sell papers for a year," Reynolds said.

Outside the courthouse, Reynolds kissed Anderson on the cheek and they warmly embraced. A day earlier, they barely made eye contact as they sat a few feet apart in court.

"We reached a decision amicably for our son's sake, who we love very, very much. Burt's been very generous to take care of our son," Anderson told reporters after meeting privately with her ex-husband.
