SHARE DEATH: GORDON W. JENSON

Gordon Willard Jenson born in Salt Lake City, Utah, Dec. 17, 1919 returned to his Father in Heaven on Dec. 5, 1994. Death was caused by cardiac failure.

Beloved son of Willard C. and Hertha Jenson; married Margaret Young, August 31, 1948 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. Gordon served his country in World War II in the Army Air Corps, graduated from both Henager's Business College and the University of Utah, worked as a food broker for over 40 years and served the Lord on two LDS missions - one to the Northern States Mission and one with his chosen companion to the Dallas, Texas Temple. He held numerous church positions including counselor in bishoprics, Sunday School president and was serving at the Joseph Smith Memorial Building at the time of his death. His greatest calling was that of husband and father.He is survived by his loving wife; sons and daughters, David Y. and Janet G. Jenson, Bruce Y. and Glenna P. Jenson, Paul and Margaret (Peggy) Baker, James Y. Jenson, Sara Jenson, Peter Y. and Angela C. Jenson , all of Salt Lake City; Robert and MaryKay Johnson, Brigham City; Paul Y. and Peggy N. Jenson, Henderson, Nevada; two grandsons serving honorable missions, 23 other grandchildren; and sisters, Margaret Bowen, Romona Russell, both Salt Lake City; brother, Spencer Jenson, Washington DC.

Gordon was an example of caring and love to all that knew him. Realizing he has gone on to a better place, he will be missed.

Funeral services Friday, December 9th, at 12 noon, Grant 4th Ward (1111 East Charlton Avenue-2815 South). Friends may call Thursday evening 6-8 p.m. at the Larkin Mortuary, 260 East South Temple, and at the Ward on Friday, 11-11:45 a.m. Burial will be at the Salt Lake City Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, family suggests donations to The Primary Childrens Medical Center, 100 North Medical Drive, Salt Lake City, Utah, 84113.
