Holiday events around Utah County include:

Saturday, Dec. 10- The Christmas Chorus directed by Martha Sargent will present its annual Christmas concert for the public and patients at the Utah State Hospital at 10:30 a.m. in the hospital chapel, 1300 W. Center, Provo. Admission is free, but donations are appreciated.

- Stories by the Hearth, an old fashioned storytelling, will be presented at the Springville Art Shop 446 S. 200 East, Springville. Storytelling for children is at 4 p.m. at the cost of $1 per person. Storytelling for adults is at 7:30 p.m. at the cost of $5 per couple or $3 per person. Tickets are sold at the Book Mark bookstore 717 N. Main.

Sunday, Dec. 11

- The Christmas Chorus directed by Martha Sargent presents its annual Christmas concert for the public and patients at the Utah State Hospital at 8 p.m. in the hospital chapel, 1300 W. Center, Provo. Admission is free, but donations are appreciated.

- The Salt Lake Symphonic Choir, under the direction of George Welch, will sing with the American Fork Children's Choir, under the direction of Merrilee Barratt, at 7 p.m. in the American Fork High School Auditorium. The performance is free.

- The 14th annual "Carols by Candlelight" Advent service sponsored by the Friends of the Library and McCurdy Doll Museum, 7:30 p.m. at the Community Congregational Church, 175 N. University Ave. Special guests include the Calvary Baptist Mass Choir from Salt Lake City. Children under 6 should not attend, and parents are requested to honor this policy, due to the lighted candles and the fire codes at the church. Admission is free.

- Rock Canyon Assembly of God will present its Christmas play, "Baa, Baa Bethlehem," at 6 p.m. The church is at 3410 N. Canyon Road, Provo. Admission is free.

Tuesday, Dec. 13

- The Meridian School will present its annual Christmas program in the Provo Tabernacle at 7:30 p.m.

Thursday, Dec. 15

- The VIP Strings, a performing arm of the VIP Foundation for Young performers, has been invited to share the spotlight with the Florence J. Madsen Memorial Chorus at its annual Christmas Concert, 7:30 p.m. at the Women's Council Building, 310 W. 500 North, (next to the Eldred Center) Provo. Admission is free.

- The Story of Christmas Live Nativity Pageant featuring scriptures from the Old Testament and New Testament along with music of the season will be held every half-hour at 6:30, 7 and 7:30 p.m. at the Provo Tabernacle Park. Free admission.

- The Mount Nebo's Children's Choir will perform a variety of holiday songs in a concert at the Provo Tabernacle, t 7:30 p.m.

Friday, Dec. 16

- The Story of Christmas Live Nativity Pageant, 6:30, 7 and 7:30 p.m. at the Provo Tabernacle Park. Free admission.

- The Dixon Middle School choir will perform its annual Christmas Concert in the Provo Tabernacle, 7 p.m.

Saturday, Dec. 17 through Friday, Dec. 23

- The Story of Christmas Live Nativity Pageant, 6:30, 7 and 7:30 p.m. at the Provo Tabernacle Park. Free admission.
