CHRISTMAS CENTERS ON THE SAVIOR

Regarding the furor over the Christian content of the Christmas program at West High School, if I were living in Jerusalem and my children were in school, I would expect and be delighted to have my children take part in any of the beautiful music associated with the celebration of the Passover and the history of the Jewish people and would feel it was very appropriate there. And I wouldn't be offended if the school didn't also sing "Come, Come Ye Saints."

Is it really so strange and discriminatory for traditional Christian religious music to be used at Christmastime in the schools in the United States of America? This is a Christian nation. Read your American history. Christmas is our biggest annual celebration. No doubt Mr. Bauchman would also like to do away with all the Christian religious art that occasionally finds its way into the school curriculum too - Michelangelo, da Vinci, Rembrandt, etc.
