Christian Laettner, the Minnesota Timberwolves' leading scorer, was ejected from the team's practice Sunday and suspended for today's home game against San Antonio.

Coach Sidney Lowe took the actions after Laettner cursed at assistant coach Bob Weinhauer during practice at the Target Center, the Star Tribune reported in today's editions.Laettner became upset when Weinhauer corrected Marlon Maxey for running a play the wrong way and asked Maxey to execute the play again, the newspaper said. Laettner spoke to Weinhauer, and when Weinhauer told Laettner to "worry about your own game," Laettner began to curse him.

Chuck Person interrupted, saying the outburst was "not necessary," and Laettner then looked to his teammates and said, "All you (expletives) should be sticking up for Max," the newspaper said.

Lowe then huddled the team, spoke to them for a moment and asked Laettner to leave.
