One of Russia's most famous cosmonauts will help Utahns celebrate the 25th anniversary of man's landing on the moon by speaking at a public banquet Tuesday night.

Col. Georgy Mikhailovich Grechko will lecture at a dinner sponsored by Hansen Planetarium, and the public is invited to call the planetarium for reservations. Dinners at the Doubletree Hotel are $20 each and can be reserved by calling 531-4939."We are excited to be bringing in this wonderful guest speaker, from the nation that first put a man in space, to deliver a lecture here in America, the nation that first put a man on the moon," said Von Del Chamberlain, the director of Hansen Planetarium. This event is part of the planetarium's celebration of the 25th anniversary year of the first moon landing, which took place July 20, 1969.

Grechko helped design Sputnik, the world's first artificial satellite. He also worked on unmanned lunar probes. Later he set a record as the cosmonaut with the most trips into space, spending nearly 135 days in orbit.
