I'm impressed and very pleased with Karen Shepherd. She combines a sense of vision with an ability to pay attention to detail that certainly will win my vote for her re-election to Congress in November.

Recently, Shepherd got a bill passed by the U.S. House that would, if approved by the Senate, resolve a legal action involving the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services against our local Head Start center. The local center bought a building in Salt Lake City that saved taxpayers money over several years, but in doing so, violated technical federal regulations.By getting the situation resolved without further expenditure of tax dollars for attorneys, Shepherd shows both a concern for the kids of Head Start and a recognition of the excesses of big government that can and do occur.

I hope Utah voters reward Karen Shepherd's accomplishments in the face of unwarranted attacks by Enid Greene.
