Craig P. Sylvester, 72, passed away March 6, 1994 after a long illness.

He was born on January 9, 1922 in Elsinore, Utah to Wilford Woodruff and Minnie Hermansen Sylvester. He married Maurine Hansen on April 11, 1949 in Richfield, Utah. Veteran of World War II and a member of the American Legion. He was proud of playing on the Elsinore Town Championship Baseball Team in his younger years. He loved sports, farming and best of all, his grandchildren. He was a surveyor for the B.L.M. for 30 years.He will be missed by his wife, his children and grandchildren, George and Gay Bailey and Adrienne, Tara, April and Deven, Kathy and Tom Capece and Nicole, Natalie, Nanette and Nina, Jed Sylvester, Lanan and Jim Peterson and Dylan; brothers and sisters, Homer, Douglas, Evelyn Hansen, Bethel Holman, Althea Southwick, Carleen Scott; preceded in death by his parents and brother, Woodrow.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, March 10, 1994 at 12 noon in the Elsinore LDS Ward Chapel. Friends may call at the Magleby Mortuary on Wednesday evening from 7 to 8:30 p.m. and at the ward chapel on Thursday morning from 10:45 to 11:30 a.m. Burial with military rites by the Elsinore American Legion Post #75 in the Elsinore Cemetery.
