Assistant coach Megan Marsden, right, and University of Utah gymnasts cheer a vault by teammate Meredith King at the NCAA women's gymnastics championships at the Huntsman Center Friday. A vault by Megan Caudle helped the underdog Lady Utes win their eighth NCAA team championship. Utah, which last won the crown in 1992, entered the tournament as the fifth seed. Caudle won the vault event, and her margin of victory was the same as Utah's team score over top-seeded Alabama - 196.40 to 196.35. Defending champion Georgia took third. Several Lady Utes captured second places in the other events. See story on D1.
