Charlotte Mae Kyer, 75, passed away March 22, 1994 at a convalescent home in Alameda, Calif., due to cancer.
Born August 31, 1918 in Salt Lake City, Utah, to John Fred Johnson and Vera Fern Carter. Married John Bertram Kyer, June 8, 1944.Charlotte attended West High School in Salt Lake City. While in her senior year she was the only student at West High to register for the League of Nations written contest to be held at all senior high schools in the United States. After graduating in 1936, Charlotte attended the University of Utah. Later worked for the Douglas Aircraft Company in Santa Monica, Calif.; Key System Transit Lines of Oakland, and Thomas Bros. Maps of San Francisco, Calif.; from which she retired at age 65. Charlotte worked hard throughout her life and was honorable, kind-hearted and supportive of many charities.
She is survived by her husband, John; and her twin sister, Clara Fay Schnaittacher, both of whom are presently in care centers in Alameda, Calif. She is also survived by two other sisters, Evelyn Fern Shingleton and Beth Lenore Pistorius, both residing in Salt Lake City; and by her brother, Stanley Fred Johnson, residing in Layton. Charlotte had no children.
At Charlotte's request, no services were held.
