Hugo Lerch, 78, passed away peacefully May 13, 1994, at his home in Salt Lake City, Utah.
Born March 20, 1916, in Berne, Switzerland, to Friedrich and Bertha Heiniger Lerch. He married Dora Helena Rindlisbacher on November 7, 1944 at Berne, Switzerland; later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. He was employed by the Swiss Government in the finance department until migrating to Utah in 1949. He was the accountant/office manager at Hafer's, Inc., for 35 years, retiring in 1986. A High Priest in the LDS Church, he faithfully served in many capacities. He also fulfilled a stake mission and was a longtime member of the Swiss Chorus Edelweiss. A devoted husband and father, everything he did was for his family. He will be missed dearly but will be remembered by all who had the pleasure to know and work with him for the gentle, kind man that he was. He is with God now, may he rest in peace.Survived by his wife, Dora; a son and four daughters, Yvonne (Willy) Morgenegg, Daniel (Kathy) Lerch, Christine (Jeff) Pearmain, Linda (Richard) Clawson, and Anita (Kelly) Grover, all from Salt Lake City; 13 grandchildren; and a sister, Lydia (Bill) Trevithick, also Salt Lake City.
Funeral services will be Monday, May 16, 1 p.m., at the Mt. Olympus First Ward, 4625 So. Lanark Rd. (3315 East). Friends may call Sunday, from 6 to 8 p.m., at the Holbrook Funeral Chapel, 3251 South 2300 East, and at the church on Monday for one hour prior to the services. Interment: Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park.
