During a meeting of the University of Utah Mothers Club, Nikki Bell was installed as president, succeeding Ardith Miller.

Other officers announced during the gathering in the A. Ray Olpin Union Building were Betty Burr, vice president; Helen James, recording secretary; Nan Ayre, corresponding secretary; Marilyn C. Child, treasurer; Lorraine Peterson, parliamentarian; and Imogene Steele, historian.Committee chairwomen include Carol Hutchings, publicity and contact; Carol Egan, program; Rose Thuet, hospitality; Karen Hyde, finance; and Ardith Miller, adviser and membership.

The University of Utah Mothers Club was founded in 1931 by Mrs. James Ingelretsin to bring members together in a social and intellectual setting. The club also gives members the opportunity to keep in touch with university life and make donations to the Union Building.
