Burt Reynolds isn't disappearing now that his TV show has been canceled. He's rearranging.
"Things have to end before there can be a new beginning," Reynolds said in a statement Tuesday after CBS canceled "Evening Shade." "I'm working in a new movie, `The Maddening,' and I am putting the game plan for my future together.""Burt Reynolds won't be gone, just rearranging," he said.
Reynolds played high school football coach Wood Newton in the series set in a small Southern town. The series, which debuted in 1990, was created by producer Linda Bloodworth-Thomason of "Designing Women" fame.
