The parents of pro football player Shane Curry are suing the owner of a bar where their son was shot to death.

The lawsuit, filed Friday, lists as defendants Ashvin Gandhi, who owns Brandy's Lounge in Cincinnati, and Dava Inc., which owns the Armada Inn motel. The businesses share a driveway and a parking lot.Curry, a 24-year-old defensive end for the Indianapolis Colts and a Cincinnati native, was shot in the parking lot in 1992 after a dispute over a car blocking the driveway.

In their lawsuit, James and Sandra Curry say the bar owner failed to provide security in the parking lot.

Gandhi could not be reached to comment. A recorded message said his home telephone may have been disconnected.
