Our beloved husband, father, grandpa, great-grandpa and wonderful friend, who cherished his family more than anything else in life, passed away April 30, 1994 after a lingering heart ailment.
Paul was born February 3, 1921 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Alvin LeRoy Soren and Lilly Leversa Barney. He married Elaine Enquist Huppman on September 14, 1962 in Salt Lake City; later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple April 29, 1976.Active member LDS Church, high priest member, Sunday school president, home teacher. Graduate of South High School, served honorably in the Navy, former stock car racer, active in golf and bowling, winning many trophies. Utah Sheet Metal worker for over 30 years, served as business representative, retired.
Survived by his loving, devoted sweetheart, Elaine; two daughters, Paulette Soren, Mrs. Dean (Donnette) Burton, Salt Lake City; three sisters, Mrs. Sidney (Viola) Manning, Mrs. Frank (Naomi) Nelson, Salt Lake City; Mrs. King (Rhoda) Hinckley, Bellevue, Wash.; eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Owen Leon; and a sister, Mildred May Soren Hughes.
Funeral services will be held 12 noon, Wednesday, May 4, 1994 in the Riverside First Ward Chapel, 1100 West 500 North, where friends may call 45 minutes prior to the service.
An additional viewing will be held Tuesday, May 3, 1994, 6-8 p.m. at the MacKay Cottonwood Mortuary, 4670 South Highland Drive, Salt Lake City. Interment, Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park, 3401 South Highland Drive, Salt Lake City.
