The Creative Sewing and Needleart Exposition comes to the Salt Palace Convention Center on May 13-15. General admission tickets, which allow visitors to see some 80 exhibits, will be $7 at the door. In addition, there will be about 50 different seminars that will cost $5 each.
The exposition will be presented by the American Sewing Guild and will include seminars on time-saving sewing techniques; serger defensive driving; altering patterns for various figure challenges such as swayback or narrow shoulders; baby clothes; alterations; marketing what you make, including how to buy wholesale fabric; copying the designers; teaching children to sew; sewing baseball caps; Victorian dainties and other heirlooms; and wardrobe strategy by Judith Rasband.
