LaPreal B. Sperry, 92, died at the Willow Wood Retirement Center May 2, 1994 in Salt Lake City.
Born April 20, 1902 in Levan, Utah, daughter of Joseph Henry and Margaret Field Bradfield, the oldest of 11 children, all deceased, but brother, LaVar Bradfield, Clearfield; sisters, Wanda Coon, Midvale and Rosella Mortensen, Los Angeles.Married Rex L. Sperry August 10, 1921 in Levan, Utah. Lived many places between Salt Lake City and Las Vegas while raising five children. Retired to Delta, Utah in 1964. With her nimble fingers and hands, Grandma Sperry made hundreds of handsewn quilts, also doing beautiful embroidery pieces which are beautiful works of art and dearly treasured.
Survived by sons and daughters, Leo (Virginia) Sperry, Delta; Garn (Dixie) Sperry, Murray; Mena (Jack) Westerman, Kearns; Elaine (Perry) Robinette, West Valley City; Helen (Andy) Katsos, Sandy; 11 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, whom she loved dearly; many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, May 5, 1994, 2 p.m., at McDougal Funeral Home, 4330 South Redwood Road, where friends may call Wednesday, 6-8 p.m. and Thursday, one hour to services. Interment: Redwood Memorial Estates.
