Allan Sharnborg passed away peacefully at home Tuesday May 2, 1994 after a lingering illness following a stroke.
He was born in Bellevue, Iowa on May 12, 1907 to Walter and Minnie Jennings Sharnborg. Married Johanna Viklund in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. Educated and graduated from Bellevue High School. Attended Washington University in Seattle, Wash. Worked in Bremerton Navy Yard in ship building. Later joined the Merchant Marines. Was a member of Tacoma Elks and Shriners. Lifetime member UCT Commercial Travelers. Member of the LDS Church and was a High Priest. He was self employed as distributor of automotive and garden supplies. He was a talented carpenter and took great pride in the several homes he built.Through his entire life he deeply enjoyed the out-of-doors, fishing, hunting and boating were his delight.
Survived by wife, many nieces and nephews and a brother's son, Chris Sharnborg, Calif.
Funeral services will be held Friday, May 6, 1994, 11 a.m. at the Jenkins-Soffe Mortuary, 4760 South State Street, where friends may call Friday, one half hour prior to services. Graveside service in Spanish Fork Cemetery, Friday 1 p.m.
