Marian E. Madsen, 61, died May 1, 1994 in the Fillmore Hospital.

She was born May 21, 1932 in Hurricane to Alvin and Martha Williams Englestead.She married Lee S. Madsen July 26, 1963 in the Manti LDS Temple.

She grew up in Kanosh, Utah, and graduated from Millard High School and Brigham Young University. Marian taught English and History in Provo and taught ten years at Whittier High School in Whittier, California. Along with her husband, Lee, she raised two loving sons, Eric and Troy. The family spent their lives between Whittier, California and Kanosh, Utah.

Marian lived her life devoted to youth and in the service of others. She had a significant influence on the lives of many people. Taught LDS Seminary for 20 years and was active in the PTA.

Marian enjoyed life and her love was felt by many people.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, May 5, 1994 at 11 a.m. in the Kanosh LDS Ward Chapel. Friends may call Wednesday, 7-8 p.m. at the Olpin Mortuary in Fillmore, and on Thursday from 9:30-10:45 a.m. at the ward chapel. Burial will take place in the Kanosh Cemetery.
