Q. I am an avid fan of Pamela Anderson of "Baywatch." Can you please tell me a little bit about her and the movies or TV shows she has played in? - A Reader, Vineland, N.J.

A. The Canadian beauty was born in Ladysmith, British Columbia. Her press biography says she was discovered at a B.C. Lions football game when she was projected onto the stadium's huge scoreboard screen wearing a La-batt's beer T-shirt. The beer company immediately signed her up as a spokesmodel. Anderson eventually landed in Hollywood, where she gained national attention as Tim Allen's "Tool Time Girl" on the hit show "Home Improvement." She plays lifeguard C.J. Parker on "Baywatch." Anderson is a physical fitness buff, a saxophonist and an author of children's books and fairy tales. She returns to the "Baywatch" set in June when the popular syndicated series begins filming its fifth season.Q. I read that Tony Danza broke his back in a ski jump. Please tell me how he is doing. I really enjoy his work. I still watch "Who's the Boss?" - M.L., Hoboken, N.J.

A. Danza underwent surgery for spinal damage, broken ribs and internal injuries but is recuperating nicely after a Christmas skiing accident in Utah's Deer Valley. He has a summer movie coming out in July, "Angels in the Outfield," co-starring Christopher Lloyd.

Q. In the early '60s there was a show on television called "The Young Rebels." There were three young men in the starring roles, which I refer to as the "Civil War Mod Squad." It seems no one I talk to can remember such a series. Was there such a show and, if so, did Lou Gossett Jr. play one of the young heroes? - W.B., Mansfield, Ohio.

A. There was a "Young Rebels" series, but it was a little different than you remember. It aired on ABC in the fall of 1970 and was set in Revolutionary War-era Pennsylvania. The heroes, who included Lou Gossett Jr. as blacksmith Isak Poole, were guerrilla fighters. The Oscar-winning actor ("An Officer and a Gentleman") is back on TV May 13 as detective Ray Alexander in an "NBC Friday Night Mystery" movie.

Q. I'd like to know if there is a TV miniseries or motion picture in the works on reputed New York gang leader John Gotti? If so, who will play him? - D.R.F., Philadelphia, Penn.

A. CBS has scheduled "Getting Gotti" for May 10. Lorraine Bracco stars as the U.S. attorney whose determination ultimately nailed the mob boss, who'll be played by Anthony Denison. You may remember him from last year's "The Amy Fisher Story." He played Joey Buttafuoco to Drew Barrymore's Amy Fisher.

Q. Alfred Hitchcock has always been a favorite of mine and I bet I've seen a hundred episodes of "Alfred Hitchcock Presents." I'm always sure I've seen them all, but then one pops up that I haven't seen. How many of these are there anyway? - C.G., Gowanda, N.Y.

A. There were literally hundreds of episodes filmed during the show's 10-year run (1955-65). Nick at Night runs "Alfred Hitchcock Presents" every night.
