Poet Maya Angelou thinks children shouldn't have to look any further than their own families for their role models.

"Too often, children look to rock stars as their heroes, and that's a shame," Angelou said Tuesday at Johnson County Community College in Overland Park, Kan., where she used poetry and song to deliver her message."What we have to do is encourage the children to look first at home," Angelou said. "We have to present ourselves as rainbows."
