A woman accused of shoplifting at Bloomingdale's glitzy department store got the goods on a security guard who was accused of letting her go in exchange for sex.

Andre Carty, 32, a special patrolman authorized by the New York Police Department to pick up shoplifting suspects and bring them to the police station, was charged Tuesday night with receiving a bribe, official misconduct and coercion, according to the Manhattan district attorney's office. The bribery count is a felony and carries a possible maximum sentence of seven years in prison.

A spokesman for the prosecutors' office said the woman agreed to wear a wire and had a conversation with Carty during which he confirmed her allegations. But the woman still faces shoplifting charges in court next week.
