The Interstate Commerce Commission plans a seminar in Utah about requirements on shipping created by the new Negotiated Rates Act of 1993.
It is scheduled for May 26 at 1 p.m. at the Utah State Office Building auditorium, 450 N. Main in Salt Lake City. Those wishing to attend should call Virginia Reichert at 303-844-3162.The new law provides shippers with an array of alternatives for solving disputes over charges. It also bans certain types of tariffs and billing practices.
The seminar is part of a series of 36 meetings in 29 states that was ordered by ICC Chairman Gail McDonald to explain implementation of the law.
