Cornell Richard Binks, age 65, passed away Wednesday, April 4, 1994 at his home.

He was born May 21, 1928 at Mapleton, Utah, a son of Norris Thomas and Amanda Erickson Binks. He married Dorothy Arlene Daniels, April 5, 1950 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. He attended Springville schools, graduating from Springville High School. He attended Utah Trade Technical College. He served in the U.S. Army. He retired from Geneva Steel Corp. after many years as a locomotive engineer. He was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He was very well read in the scriptures and loved the gospel. He very much loved his family.He is survived by his wife, Dorothy, of Payson; three daughters and two sons and their spouses, Susan and Jerol Garner, Craig and Mary Ann Binks, Brent and Cynthia Binks, all of Sandy; Carolyn and Phillip Miller, Magna; Arlene and Steven Page, of Payson; 18 grandchildren and three step-grandchildren; two brothers, Blair Binks, Bountiful; and Glade Binks, of Springville. He was preceded in death by a grandson.

Services will be Monday, May 9, 1994, 11:00 a.m. in the Payson 17th LDS Ward Chapel, 650 West 800 South. Friends may call at the Walker Mortuary, 587 South 100 West, Payson, Sunday, 6-8:00 p.m. or at the church Monday, 10-10:45 a.m. Burial will be in the Payson City Cemetery.
