Helen Stanworth Johnson Voss, age 66, was released into the arms of her Heavenly Father on May 5, 1994 at a Salt Lake hospital.
She was born on September 26, 1927, in Hurricane, Utah to Thomas and Marie Stanworth. She married H. Grant Johnson, later divorced. She married James Lincoln Voss on August 19, 1973. Helen was a warm and very loving wife, mother, stepmother, and grandmother with a ready smile and hug for all who visited her. She had a wonderful listening ear and a gift for being able to comfort and support others.She excelled as a businesswoman and organizer, and was much appreciated by her various employers, including First Security Bank, the Newspaper Agency Corporation and the Utah State Liquor Commission. One of her bosses said to her, "You do more work than any three women in my office!".
Survivors include her husband, Jim; daughters, Roxie Rameson, Visalia, Calif.; Ann Davis, Provo; Debbie Poorman; son, Ron Johnson, Syracuse; brothers, Garn and Scott, both of California. Also survived by stepchildren, John Voss of Longmont, Colo.; Bill and Bob Voss; Cherie Thomas, Salt Lake City.
Her husband, her eight "children" and her many grandchildren love her and will miss her very much.
Funeral services, Saturday, May 7, 1994 at 2 p.m. at Jenkins-Soffe Mortuary, 4760 So. State St., where friends may call one hour before the services. Interment: Wasatch Lawn Cemetery.
