"Buds," the 11th annual spring concert of the Salt Lake Men's Choir, will be presented Sunday, May 8, at 7 p.m. at St. Mark's-Rowland Hall, 843 S. Lincoln.
Amanda Dickson will host this year's program, which will be staged by San Francisco Opera resident director Sandra Bernhard and feature baritone Scott Jussila singing Vaughan Williams' "Five Mystical Songs."The choir will also premiere "anyone lived in a pretty how town" by Ruth Gibbons Stoneman, to a text by e.e. cummings. The piece was commissioned by artistic director Douglas Kinney for the choir's spring concert.
In addition soprano Katie Hill will perform two selections with the choir, "Vilja" from "The Merry Widow" and Jerome Kern's "All the Things You Are."
