Two women told police they were raped Thursday in West Valley City after being forced into a car near the Rio Grande depot in West Central City.

The women, ages 29 and 34, called police about 1:30 a.m. from a service station at 4275 W. 4100 South.Both live at a Salt Lake women's shelter and told police they were picked up early Thursday by two men. The men drove them around, eventually going to West Valley City where they allegedly raped both women, West Valley police Sgt. Lynn A. Hanson said.

The men fled and the women walked until they arrived at the station, he said.
