Marianne Funk's article regarding Roy Robinson, former deputy clerk in the 3rd Judicial District Court, was certainly well done and a well-deserved tribute to "Robbie."
The lawyers who dealt with Robbie over the years knew him as a curmudgeonly old coot who had a great heart and who was always helpful to those of us trying to find our way through the court system. In all of the controversy that surrounds the courts, what most people forget is the terrific job the clerks in our various courts do. They truly are the unsung heroes and heroines of our judicial system.
It was nice to see Marianne single out an interesting man who spent so many years helping other people in the court system.
