Mae Nelson Wilkins Thomas, age 88, died May 6, 1994 at her home in Salt Lake City, Utah.

A special thanks to Dr. Cherie Brunker and the caring Hospice IHC nurses and people.Born March 30, 1906 in Jensen, Utah to James Alexander and Susie Giles Nelson. Married Ertin L. Wilkins on February 25, 1925; he died February 17, 1956. Married Stacy L. Thomas on May 6, 1959, in Salt Lake City. Member LDS Church. Formerly worked at the Remington Arms Plant and also Hill Field during World War II. Volunteer worker at Senior Citizens Center for many years. She loved all of her family very much. She was an excellent mother and wife and grandma. She did lots of sewing and handwork. She liked to travel.

Survived by loving husband, Stacy; daughter and two sons: Velma "Liz" (Otis) Weeks, Victor (Geneva) Wilkins, and Gawin (Tess) Wilkins; two stepsons; and four stepdaughters: Wesley (Velma) Thomas, Glenn (Linda) Thomas, Janice (Harold) Christensen, Elaine Welch, Gloria (Robert) Burt, and Carol (Lee) Welch; six grandchildren; and 28 step-grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and 58 step-great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; two brothers and two sisters: Dan Nelson, Vernal; Victor Nelson, Orem; Marell Oaks, Vernal; and Mamie Wellman, Salt Lake City. Preceded in death by three brothers.

Funeral services on Wednesday, May 11th, at 2 pm, Larkin Chapel, 260 East South Temple, where friends may call one hour prior to services. Interment, Larkin Sunset Gardens Cemetery, 10600 South 1700 East.
