The old Furr's Restaurant at 188 W. 7200 South, a building that has been vacant for eight years, is being renovated for a July opening of J.S. North's Grand Buffet, the first venture into Utah by the company based in Medford, Ore. The company will open restaurants in Ogden and Logan later this year.
John North, president, said the building is getting new seating, decorations and a "scatter system" of buffet islands for location of a wide variety of food selections and an in-store bakery. A highlight of the restaurant is a lowered kid's bar that allows children to serve themselves."We think residents of the region will appreciate the comfortable atmosphere of our restaurants and the excellent dining value we offer," North said.
