The Pages Lane Theatre, 292 E. Pages Lane, will have an all-musical lineup for 1994-95, including the regional premiere of "Annie Warbucks," the long-anticipated sequel to "Annie," with four comedies and dramas as midweek productions.
During its new season, the theater will be open six days a week.The six musicals are:
- Brigadoon, the romantic Lerner and Loewe classic, Aug. 19-Oct. 1.
- West Side Story, one of the most acclaimed musicals in Broadway history, Oct. 7-Nov. 10.
- The Pirates of Penzance, Gilbert and Sullivan's classic operetta, Dec. 31-Feb. 18.
- Fiddler on the Roof, a back-by-popular-demand musical, Feb. 25-April 8, 1995.
- Camelot, Lerner and Loewe's enduring work about the King Arthur's mythical court, April 21-May 27.
- Annie Warbucks, the sequel to "Annie," which just concluded an off-Broadway run, June 2-July 25.
Seats for these six musicals can be purchased on one season ticket for $39. There's also an "early bird" package ($33) for those who wish to attend during the first two weeks of each presentation.
A seventh production, "Ebenezer Scrooge: The Musical," scheduled Nov. 25-Dec. 23, is not part of the regular season subscription package.
All of the Pages Lane's musicals will be staged on Mondays and Thursdays-Saturdays at 7:30 p.m.
Four midweek dramas and comedies are also offered separately. They are:
- Wait Until Dark, the exciting thriller, Oct. 11-Nov. 2. In addition to the regular performances on Tuesdays and Wednesdays at 7:30, it will be presented on Friday evenings at 10:30 p.m.
- Joseph and Mary: A Love Story, a new Christmas presentation written by Ralph Rodgers (Nov. 14-Dec. 21).
- The Miracle Worker, the dramatization of Helen Keller's early life and the struggles of her teacher, Annie Sullivan (Jan. 3-Feb. 8).
- The Diary of Anne Frank, the timeless classic about a young girl hiding with her Jewish family and friends from the Nazis in Amsterdam during World War II (April 25-May 24).
While there is no season subscription package for the midweek shows, those holding Pages Lane season tickets to the musicals will be able to obtain two-for-one discounts on tickets to these shows.
Yet to be announced are the theater's Young People's Theater matinee series on Saturdays at noon and the Sunday evening religious-oriented productions.
