Jerry Lewis, the nutty professor of the movies, played a variety of roles during his visit to address graduating seniors at South Central Technical College in Mankato, Minn.

In an afternoon appearance before commencement ceremonies Friday night, Lewis got laughs by sticking a glass all the way into his mouth, playfully hiding behind a giant flower arrangement and, by request, letting loose with his trademark screech "Hey LAYYY-dee!""My problem has always been, who do I present? The father, the clown, the artist?" Lewis said. "I never know what's going to happen until I get to the podium. I'm guided by an instinct."
