Arnold Ladimer Morgan, 84, beloved father and grandfather, died June 9, 1994 in Salt Lake City, Utah.

He was born January 15, 1910 in Salt Lake City, Utah to William Lancelot and Annie Wood Morgan. He graduated from East High School, where he was treasurer and captain of the baseball team. He married Ellen Hengen, June 5, 1937 in Salt Lake City. She died May 5, 1969.He worked for S.L.C. Corporation for 40 years. He was groundskeeper at Derks Field for many years. He took great pride in taking care of the ball field. It was known nationwide as one of the best and one of the most beautiful, while in his care.

He served in the U.S. Navy for two years during World War II.

He is survived by his daughter, Mrs. Adrian (Ladeen) Blaser, Salt Lake City; four grandchildren: Shawn Blaser, Scott Blaser, Lisa Mariano (Larry), all of Salt Lake City; Steven Blaser (Natalie), Riverton; two great-grandchildren, Maria and Tyler Mariano; also survived by one brother, Thomas I. Morgan, Bountiful. Preceded in death by parents; two brothers; and three sisters.

Graveside services will be held Monday, June 13, 1994 at 12:00 noon, Mt. Olivet Cemetery, 1342 East 5th South. Friends may call from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Sunday, June 12th and 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. prior to services at Deseret Mortuary, 700 So. 36 East.
