So Jason Garcia didn't intend to kill Monica Vigil (according to defense attorney Ken Brown, after Garcia's pleading guilty to causing her death). Garcia took the gun to Monica's house in the early hours of the morning, but he "didn't intend to kill her"? What, pray tell, did he intend to do? He shot Monica three times - once in the neck, once in the chest, and once in the back of the head.
This tear-jerking statement by Attorney Brown reminds me of the song "I Didn't Know the Gun was Loaded," some of the words being "I didn't know the gun was loaded and I'm so sorry my friend. I didn't know the gun was loaded and I'll never, never do it again." Let's put Jason Garcia away for as long as possible so that he'll "never, never do it again," and he won't have to worry about whether or not he "intended to kill" the next person.Dolores A. Donohoo
